Billet preparation
The aluminium billet is brought to production temperature.
From section to profile
On our 800 and 1600 tonne presses, aluminium billets are pushed through the designed die and formed into profiles with the required section.
02 / Production capability
The main production stage, where temperature, pressure, die and cooling parameters are managed together.
Extrusion is the process of pushing a heated aluminium billet through a die under high pressure to form a continuous profile. The opening in the die forms the cross-section of the profile.
Billet temperature, press speed, die behaviour and cooling conditions are monitored together throughout production. The aim is not only to extrude the profile, but to deliver a product with consistent dimensions and mechanical properties.
Process flow
Every project follows the same core discipline; technical details are tailored to the profile section, alloy and application.
The aluminium billet is brought to production temperature.
The material is pushed through the designed die under control.
Suitable cooling is applied as the profile leaves the press.
Section, straightness and dimensional accuracy are checked.
Technical scope
Press selection to suit different sections and project needs.
For production that requires higher press force.
Billet and die temperatures are tracked throughout the process.
Profile section and straightness are checked throughout production.
