Colour and surface durability

Electrostatic Powder Coating

Electrostatic powder coating is one of the preferred finishes for aluminium profiles when colour, surface durability and a decorative appearance are needed.

Starting the process at the right point

We plan surface preparation, coating and curing according to the RAL colour and operating conditions.

RALWide colour range
360°Uniform coating
OvenControlled curing

Powder particles are held on the profile surface by an electrostatic charge and turned into a durable coating by controlled oven curing. The method offers a wide colour range and a uniform appearance.

For the right result, surface preparation, powder type, layer build-up and curing conditions are considered together. The right solution depends on where the profile will be used.

Process flow

Four controlled steps

Every project follows the same core discipline; technical details are tailored to the profile section, alloy and application.

01

Pre-treatment

The surface is prepared for coating.

02

Spraying

The powder is applied to the surface electrostatically.

03

Curing

The coating is cured at a controlled temperature.

04

Surface inspection

Colour and coating integrity are checked.
